We handcraft diverse projects from the rustic to the refined.
Medullary Rays are the vascular tissue that give quartersawn Oak its distinctive grain pattern, sometimes called “tigerstripe” or “flake.” Quartersawn Oak is one of the primary woods used in Craftsman style furnishings. Thus, our name is a nod to many of our designs drawing from the traditions of the Arts & Crafts Movement. “Studios” in our name is plural in that we offer design and execution in multiple disciplines.
Our designs are informed by the Arts & Crafts movement and inspired by Art Deco. We offer an array of products constructed with native hardwoods and veneers, exotic or reclaimed woods, weather resistant species, art glass and soft metals including aluminum, copper, pewter, and brass.
